As promised, here’s the recipe for these tasty morsels! These flapjacks are the perfect balance of chewy and tangy, with fresh apples and raspberries....so good for you, right?
The recipe is super easy, so I want to see you all try this one!
You can customise this recipe to be gf, df, or nothing free - whatever you want!
Ingredients
115g butter (I used df, but you can use whatever you like)
75g Demerara sugar
3 tbsp golden syrup
250g porridge oats (I used gf)
1tsp cinnamon
2 dessert apples
50g raspberries
Method
Pre-heat oven to 180°C (160° fan) and lime a baking time with greaseproof paper.
Put the sugar, butter and golden syrup in to a saucepan and heat gently until all sugar has melted.
Remove from the heat and stir in the oats and cinnamon until evenly coated.
Grate the apples in to the mixture and stir thoroughly.
Pour in to the prepared tin and flatten. Then sprinkle the raspberries across the surface of the flapjack. I like to push them in to the mixture a little here.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before removing and slicing in to nice thick slices!
Enjoy these on their own as a snack, or with a nice warm cup of tea!
